for Workers with Limited English

Help international workers to recognize when there may be just a cultural diversity problem and not a harassment problem

The objective of this 90 minute training is to understand how cultural differences may lead to harassment problems. This session highlights cultural differences between American and foreign workplaces, and the concept of harassment. Harassment problems may arise as consequences of misunderstanding or ignorance of other cultures.

The training session will cover:

  • Understanding American Culture in the workplace: Do’s and Don’ts
  • Harassment in the American culture: What it is and what it is not
  • Harassment and cultural differences: Learn to recognize circumstances that may cause people to erroneously believe that they are being harassed
  • Understanding and respecting other cultures (including American culture)
