English as a Second Language
Basics of spoken and written American English for foreign-born
learners. Classes in groups of ten or less are customized by job-specific
requirements. Content and vocabulary are determined through consultation
with sponsoring company.
ESL I assumes little or no knowledge of English. Learners are introduced
to basic expressions, sounds and sentence structure.
ESL II builds on the skills introduced in ESL I to increase understanding
and the ability to communicate more complex thought. Increased emphasis
on original expression and pronunciation.
